Originally a multimedia artist, she is currently applying her experience towards sculpture and installation arts to thread her artworks together as an encompassing experience for audiences. In the past, her work has generally been concerned about various mentalities, discovering one’s personhood, spirituality, and mindfulness. At the moment, she is concerned with topics relating to natural material in a similar fashion to previous preoccupations.
She is currently a fifth-year undergraduate student at Western University located in London, Ontario, and enrolled in the BFA Honours Specialization in Studio Arts program. At the moment, she is teaching art to children with the London Arts Council and plans to continue in the field of teaching and the arts.
As a sculpture and installation artist, Hailey’s main focus for the moment is working with natural and plant materials, as well as found or readymade objects. Conceptually, she is preoccupied with ideas such as natural reactions, responses, healing, and growth concerning stressful or traumatic environments.
